Weekly Update

These are the messages for the week of July 27 - August 2, 2009

Plenty of changes this week, so please advise:

--  All of Monday's practice will be combined at the Kilmarlic facility in Currituck NC at their regular practice times.  Seniors -- 5:00 - 6:45PM
                        11 - 12's -- 5:30 - 6:45PM
                         9 - 10's -- 6:00 - 7:00PM
                        8 & Unders -- 5:00 - 6:00PM

-- Tuesday's practice is at it's regular practice time for all available groups.

--  Wednesday's practice is at it's regular practice time for all available groups.     

2.)  There will be NO practice for any groups on Thursday due to coach Craig going to Age Group Champs.

3.)  There will be a combined practice for all swimmers wanting to practice on Friday, at the YMCA, from 5:00 - 6:PM.

4.)  There will be NO practice for any groups on Saturday.

If anyone happens to see Walker Ross this week, please wish him good luck as he travels to Newport News to swim at the Virginia Age Groups Championships this coming weekend.

Update on Friday Practice

Due to HEAVY rain and THUNDERSTORMS moving into the area, Friday's practice will be canceled for all ages.  Age group champ qualifiers will have a practice to be done one day this weekend at any point.

Weekly Update

These are the messages for the week of July 20 - 26, 2009

This week has a different practice schedule than most due to coach Craig having to go to Virginia for personal reasons.  Please Advise!!!!!!

Monday's Practice -- Usual times at both sites.

Tuesday's Practice --  Canceled with the option of a assigned practice at the YMCA on the dry erase board.  ( Age Group Champ qualifiers are mandated to swim )

Wednesday Practice -- Kilmarlic practice is canceled.  All year round swimmers have the option to go to the YMCA at their regular practice times.

Thursday Practice -- Canceled with the option of a assigned practice at the YMCA on the dry erase board.  ( Age Group Champ qualifiers are mandated to swim )

Friday Practice -- Usual times at both sites.

There will be NO more offered Saturday practices for the remainder of the season.

All swimmers that participated in this past weekend's Summer Awards meet swam fantastic.  All children did a great job and should be very proud of themselves.  Results will be posted as soon as they  are e-mailed to the OBX Swim Club.

Warm-up Times for Summer Awards

These are the warm-up times for this weekend's meet at MAC.

!2 & Under Friday -- 7:00 - 7:30AM
13 & Over Friday -- 1:00 - 1:30PM

12 & Under Saturday -- 7:30 - 8:00AM
13 & Over Saturday -- 12:30 - 1:00PM

12 & Under Sunday -- 7:30 - 8:00AM
13 & Over Sunday -- 12:30 - 1:00PM

These warm-up times are also posted at the YMCA.  Please know when you are suppose to be at the pool (15 minutes early) and be ready to swim fast.  Good Luck to all swimmers.

Weekly Update

These are the messages for the week of July 13-19, 2009

We will be on regular practice schedule for the entire week with a few changes.

1.)  There will be a combined practice on Thursday from 4 - 5PM for all swimmers and groups at the YMCA

2.)  There will be NO Friday practice, July 17, 2009 due to Summer Awards

3.)  There will be NO Saturday practice, July 18, 2009 due to Summer Awards

The events for Summer Awards are posted at the YMCA on the team bulentin board.  Please stay tuned to the website by Wednesday evening.

Weekly Update

These are the messages for the week of July 6-12, 2009

We will be on the regular practice schedule for the week with 1 change

Saturday's practice is still on but all children will be from 9:00 - 11:00AM.

On Saturday, after practice, there will be a TEAM get together at the BRAND "NEW" Destination Fun right next to Five Guys and The Pit.  The party will start about 11:45AM and go till 1:30PM.  Please stay tuned to see how much it will be for the OBX Swim Club members.

The summer awards sign-up sheet is up at the YMCA bulletin board.  The deadline is Monday July 6, 2009 by 8:00PM.  Please sign up if you are attending.  This meet is a full three day meet, so be ready for a long weekend.
