• Regular practice schedule for the week , other than on Friday--practice will be canceled due to the spring awards banquet. The Banquet is 6 PM on Friday at Western Sizzlin in Kill Devil Hills. Payment was due in advance.
• All swimmers are encouraged to attend the banquet to receive your gift from Coach Craig and the Team, and awards will be presented for this past short course season.
• The sign-up sheet for the 1st meet at Fleet Rec on May 11 - 13, 2007 is being taken down on Thursday night, and NO late entries are going to be allowed.  Please sign-up ASAP if you plan to participate.
• Sign-up sheet for the ODAC mile open water swim is posted on the bulletin board.  You have to be 11 to swim, and Coach Craig wants a lot of participation.

Additional Announcements

1. Our first long course meet, TIDE spring challenge, will be on May 11 - 13 , 2007.  This is a week later than expected.  There is a sign-up sheet posted at the YMCA.  The sign-up sheet will be taken down on April 26th, 2007.  That gives everyone over a week and a half to sign-up.  This is three (3) day meet.
2. The Chapel Hill meet is an A meet only.  I believe you have to have at least two A times in two different strokes to be able to participate in this meet.
3. Swim Challenge! ODAC has a mile open water swim this year on June 17th, 2007.  I want some of us to go down there and participate in this event.  You have to be 12 or older to take part in it.  I will have a sign-up sheet for this going up in the middle of this week, and it will remain up for 2 weeks.

Reminder to parents--The High Cotton fundraiser is Friday, April 20th. Each swimmer was given 20 tickets to sell (in folders prior to Spring Break). In addition to the pre-sales, we sell dinners on Friday also. High Cotton's trailer will be in the K-Mart parking lot at 4 PM. Thanks for you support of this fundraiser.

Announcements for April 15 - 21st

1. Welcome back swimmers.  I hope everyone had a good break, and I hope everyone is excited to get back into the water.
2. We will be on regular practice schedule for this week....which means:
     8 and unders -- 6:30 - 7:15PM     M,W,F
     9 - 12 yr olds -- 6:30 - 7:40PM     M through F
     13 and overs --  4:30 - 6:30PM     M through F and Sun 3:30 - 5:30PM
3. The awards banquet is coming up in a couple of weeks, April 27th.  Please let Mrs. Hunt know if you are participting and how many are coming. We need a head count on Monday.

No Senior Practice on Friday

Seems everyone has travel plans on Friday so no Senior Group practice on Friday, April 6th. See everyone back in the pool on Monday, April 16th. Enjoy your spring break!

Tentative Summer Swim Schedule

TENTATIVE SUMMER PRACTICE SCHEDULE:

• 8 and unders: @ YMCA 6:00 - 6:45 PM      Mon, Wed, and Fri
• 9 - 12 year olds: @ YMCA 7:30 - 9:30 AM  Mon - Thurs; 4:30 - 6:00 PM  MWF
• 13 and overs: @ YMCA 7:30 - 9:30 AM  Mon - Thurs; 4:30 - 6:00 PM  Mon - Fri
• If any of the 9 - 12 year olds can't make it to any of their practices, they can participate in the 8 and under practice from 6:00 - 6:45 PM Mon, Wed, and Fri.

TENTATIVE MEET SCHEDULE:

• Tide meet --  May 4 - 6, 2007
• Chapel Hill -- May 17 - 20, 2007
• High Point Invitational -- June 21 - 24, 2007 OR Waynesboro -- ??

April 2 - April 8th Announcements

Practice Schedules for the week:

1. Everyone is on regular practice times for Monday, Tuesday, and Friday.  Seniors --  4:30 - 6:30 PM, 9 - 12 's --  6:30 - 7:45 PM and 8 and U's --  Mon, Wed, and Fri 6:30 - 7:15 PM
2. Wednesday and Thursday:  All 9 - 18 year olds are invited to combined practices from 4:30 - 6:30 PM with Coach Steve Bialorucki coming in and working Fly stroke technique and I.M. turns with everyone.
3. Awards Banquet is coming up soon.....Friday, April 27th at Western Sizzlin'.  If you have not signed up, please do so ASAP.  Contact Margaret Hunt (margohunt@gmail.com) if there are any questions.
4. No practice during Spring Break. Practice will resume on Monday, April 16th.
