Officials Training

Interested in becoming an official?  Do you look good in white and blue?  Want to have the best seat in the house at a swim meet?  If so, this message is for you:

There will be a VSI Officials Clinic on Saturday, October 21, 2006, at 12:30 PM at the Fort Eustis Aquatics Center in Newport News. The clinic will be held during the afternoon session of the WAC hosted meet. This clinic is for any one interested in becoming an Official, or those who feel that they would like a refresher course. We are starting at 12:30 so we can sit in on part of the briefing and then I would like to take the group to the deck to observe some of what really goes on during then conduct of the meet, and then to a room for the clinic. I thought this would be helpful to those who may be interested, but don't have a good understanding of our job.

Update on Equipment & Swimsuit Orders

• The team swimsuit order will be placed on Wednesday, October 4th. Contact Coach Craig if you have questions about suits and sizes. Payment is due when you place your order. Hopefully, the suits will arrive before the October meet.
• The order for practice equipment has been placed. Coach Craig will hand out the equipment when it arrives.
• We are delaying the order for team warm-ups.  More info to follow.
• Team swim caps will be given out to swimmers participating in the October meet. Additional caps will be ordered and given out when they arrive.
• Team t-shirts are in the works. Each swimmer gets one team shirt. Additional t-shirt orders will be taken. Design and price info will be forthcoming.
