Welcome to Week 18- Good news from Ft Eustis!
Congratulations to
those who competed at Ft Eustis this past weekend. Amanda, Doug, and I were very
proud of all our swimmers. We want to report many improvements in stroke
technique as well as personal time bests. We believe that our age group swimmers
are on track for success. According to the American Swimming Coaches Association
success in competitive swimming is not accidental. Some of the factors that make
for success are: consistent practice attendance, unconditional parental
support, developmental ability, and a swimmer’s abilitity and willingness to
focus on their training. As coaches we are happy to report that many of our
swimmers are on this track!
Thanks to all parents who made the trip to
Newport News to support your children. A special thanks go to the parents who
are continuing their training as USA swimming officials. Many officials from
other swim clubs are impressed with our club’s willingness to become involved in
officiating!!
We hope to see many people at the parent group meetings on
Tuesday. Please bring questions. The coaching staff is looking forward to the
opportunity to meet and talk with you in a relaxed, small group
atmosphere.
