Dear OBX Swim Club Parents,
I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank all of our Volunteers yesterday who helped our team have a successful meet. There were a few glitches along the way, but as we grow and learn, we will get better at every meet. I know that volunteering can be a pain for everyone, but it is a great way to learn about how a swim meet works and what the events and strokes are. I would welcome anyone who would be interested in becoming a stroke and turn judge to email me and I will let you know what to do. There is a class offered, that I will be attending, on October 22 at Portsmouth YMCA fom 7-9 p.m.
I would especially like to thank our board members for coming together and making this swim meet a success. That would include: Ronnie & Lori Roach, Debbie Gibbs, Samantha DeLucia, Kris Susco, Donna Daughtry, and of course Coach Laura, Amanda & Sarah. Thank you for all of your dedication.
Just remember that the OBX Swim Club is nothing without all of you. You are the ones that make all of this possible! Keep up the good work and of course, KEEP VOLUNTEERING!
